Position Summary/Job Description

This is a junior to mid-level business development position with fast-track growth opportunities. This position is responsible for various aspects of the business development and sales cycle process. The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator and a high-energy individual with a 5+ years track record of successful enterprise level sales in pipeline pigging or other Pipeline monitoring related field. The candidate should be extremely comfortable with technical discussions and with reaching out to potential prospects.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directly own key decision maker sales relationships within territory and responsible for executing product, channel, and program sales initiatives
  • Manage leads and execute outbound prospecting
  • Conduct high-level discovery conversations in target accounts
  • Collaborate with manager to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities
  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results within Seismos' CRM
  • Execute sales presentations
  • Advise clients on how to best use the product or services provided
  • Demonstrate technical competence on the Seismos pipeline monitoring product line
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers during and after implementation
  • Consistently improve professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

Education & Experience (knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • Solid experience in the pipeline integrity, pigging, and/or other pipeline monitoring service (in a business development capacity)
  • B.S. degree in a technical discipline desirable
  • Previous experience with sales methodologies desirable (i.e., Sandler, Challenger, etc.)
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, product demo & negotiation skills
  • Proficient with social media
  • Proficient in using sales CRMs and sales funnel management
  • Results driven
  • Thinker - NOT talker
  • Determined Get-It-Done personality

Work Environment & Travel

  • Occasional travel to conferences, client meetings, remote team meetings (< 60%)
