Position Summary
This position is responsible in developing Geophysics modeling and simulation of waves and flow. The job duties scientific programming skills and code development with expertise in numerical methods.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement numerical methods
- Deploy these methods in simulation codes to support projects
- Report results in documents, reports, and briefings
- Other duties or technical work as assigned
Education
- PhD in geophysics, math, science, engineering or related field; MS acceptable with experience
Experience (knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Experience with seismic imaging and inversion a plus but not required
- Experience with wellbore flow and hydraulics models a plus
- Programming skills in Matlab, Python or other high-level programming fluency
- Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn new technologies
Work Environment & Travel
- Standard office environment, can be remote
- Occasional travel to conferences, client meetings, remote team meetings (< 20%)
