Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior System Engineer located in Austin, TX. As a Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for daily tasks related to systems engineering, troubleshooting, system administration, technical support, and systems design.



Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to engineer, deploy, and enhance data acquisition and automation systems for field application.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors for acquiring sensors, custom parts, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Produce technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, wiring diagrams, PCB designs, and cost estimates.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with data acquisition systems and sensors.
  • Design, develop, and manage internal testing systems.
  • Demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills in prototype development, including design, construction, and testing.
  • Advise on the continuous development and refinement of systems.
  • Support field testing of prototypes and participate in necessary travel.
  • Engage in sensor design and refine analog/digital signal processing.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Python, C++, or Matlab for system development.


Additional responsibilities, as required, may include:

  • Manage hardware engineering projects
  • Design, interface custom controls with internal and commercial software packages (SCADA)
  • IOT, wireless, cloud and web integration
  • Participate in field testing of prototype designs as needed
